According to the latest news, a lot of businesses including fitness centers, gyms, personal grooming centers, tutorial and testing centers, and review centers as the classifications of the new community quarantine are to take effect starting Tuesday, September 1, 2020. This is good news for a lot of people who are waiting to have the gyms opening in Metro Manila so they can go back to working out.
“Iyong sektor gaya ng personal grooming, testing, tutorials, review centers, ‘yung mga gyms iyon po ay itutuloy na sa pagbubukas starting tomorrow,” Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said.

The government earlier prohibited the operation of the gyms opening in Metro Manila together with other related businesses when it has suddenly transitioned to general community quarantine from modified enhanced community quarantine last Aug. 18.
Areas that remain under GCQ until Monday are Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Metro Manila, Southern Tagalog Region (Calabarzon), Iloilo City, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, Minglanilla, Cebu, and Consolacion, Cebu.
The rest of the Philippines, meanwhile, was under modified general community quarantine.
